Welcome to ConnectIR™!


Welcome to ConnectIR™, the infrared industry’s first bidding website, is a bid service which ‘connects’ people who need electrical infrared inspection services and surveys with qualified infrared thermographic service providers. ConnectIR™ is owned and was created by Stockton Infrared Thermographic Services, Inc. (SITS), the IR industry’s innovator and a leading provider of infrared thermographic services.

ConnectIR™ Explained

When an potential electrical infrared client enters ConnectIR™, they create an account and a unique job specification. The specifications include insurance requirements, facility size, number of electrical panels to be inspected, training requirements, imager resolution, etc.


When a thermographer enters ConnectIR™, they create an account and a profile which outlines their qualifications in accordance with the questions asked in the job specification such as years of experience, hours of training, imager resolution, etc. When the client submits their job specification, ConnectIR™ searches the database of registered infrared thermographic service providers and sends the client’s RFP to those whose profiles match the customers requirements. Those qualified thermographers are sent the RFP so that they may submit a price or bid on the job. The qualified thermographers have a period of 3 days to place their bid. During that time, the customer will receive notification when bids are placed and may look at the bid, as well as the profile of the service provider (with qualification information only). At the end of the 3 day bidding period, (the customer will receive notification when the bidding period has expired), the client may view all of the bids placed and either accept or reject the bids. At this point, the client may view details of the thermographer to review their qualification information. Upon selecting a finalist or a winner, the client may return to the View My Jobs Screen and view the selected service provider(s) contact information so that they may contact the selected provider in order to schedule their survey. Concurrently, the selected service provider will receive an e-mail stating that their bid has been selected and that the customer will be in touch with them in order to schedule a survey.


ConnectIR™ provides the electrical infrared client peace of mind as well as saving them a great deal of time by providing a list of providers as well as pricing and qualification information. The fees are paid by the thermographers, so this service is free to the clients!


For thermographers, ConnectIR™ is an effective and inexpensive means of reaching electrical infrared clients with immediate needs. As an additional resource for electrical thermographers, SITS has redesigned ElectriSCAN™, to be an informational website dedicated to the subject of electrical infrared thermography and provides imagery examples, sample reports, white papers and articles on electrical infrared thermography. SITS was founded in 1989 and through the years has gained a great deal of real-world experience and resources which we can put to work for you.
